Thank you, thank you for all of your orders and enthusiasm for the Love and Joy kit.
I was just not expecting that.
We sold out in a couple of days.
Then we raided all of the Winterwoods kits for their fabric and made some more Love and Joys.
And then we sold out of those. :(

The fabric supplier is shipping more fabric to us today.
I've put another 100 kits in the shop, as we have just enough floss to make 100 more.
If you missed out the first time, here is your chance to order.

Click here for a Love and Joy kit.

We won't ship until sometime next week, after the fabric comes in.

If you already purchased the digital pattern but you would like a kit instead,
I will refund the cost of the digital pattern (because you will get a printed pattern with the kit).
Please leave  me a note on the order page (not the Paypal page) or
send me an email and let me know to refund for the pattern and I will do that.

I'm sorry for the frustration! We try to guesstimate these numbers as well as we can so that things sell quickly but not too quickly, but it is hard with some things.

I will be writing to everyone who sent me an email about this or left a comment.
I'm rushing around trying to get lots done today.

Sorry for writing in centered-speak. I thought it was kinda cute.

I wish you all a very happy Thanksgiving, and a peaceful time of cooking and gathering together.
Thank you all for paying such loving attention to all of our daily comings and goings and for being such bright lights in my life. I am very grateful for you and your kindness, and all of your kind words and support throughout these many years.
I truly appreciate the efforts you make to share yourselves here. You are the nicest people ever.
Thank you.

Happy Thanksgiving to You and Yours Marie

Thank you, for sharing your journey. Because of your thoughtful words and beautiful photos I see the world differently.

Ooooh, I love the ballet pictures. Great job on the sweater! My daughter loves ballet.

Alicia, I just placed my order for the Love and Joy Kit and am so excited! I'm also getting an ornament kit to make with my 9yo daughter through Advent. She can't wait! P.S. I love your Martinmas photos. I always suspected Amelia would wind up at a Waldorf school. ❤️

I just placed my order before these sold out. The sweaters are so gorgeous. I will have to look up the pink one and make one for my little ballerina with matching leg warmers I think. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving! I always look forward to your next blog post.

I got my kit today and sorted the threads immediately while the sun was still shining. Hooray! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.

I loved the photos in this post.. the one of the mountain and low clouds was amazing.. and Mimi in her ballet outfit, the pink sweater is amazing.. she looks like a pro in it. Congrats on the success of this kit! I really like it.

I'm not at all surprised that your beautiful new kit was so popular, it's quite perfect. Hope you and yours have a lovely week. CJ xx

Thank you for sharing with us your family, your home, your art, your memories, your thoughts and feelings and your wonderful photos. I just love to check in with you every few days and see what's going on. We are a lot alike in many ways. When I first discovered you years ago, I immediately felt a kindred spirit and was hooked on the heartfelt way you shared your life through your photos. I believe it opened even more horizons for me as a photographer from that day on.
I wish you and your family a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Oh my! You just made my day!! I quickly ordered a kit before these sold out too! Thank you so much. And her ballet sweater is absolutely adorable! Did you design it or find a pattern? My daughter would LOVE one! Have a blessed Thanksgiving and thank you so much for assembling more kits!

Yes! Thank you; this time I did not hesitate, and snared one quickly. Really looking forward to receiving it (once you get the fabric in).

I am a faithful reader of your blog. I was adopted 70 years ago and had a similar childhood as Amelia is having: doting parents, adventures, lessons, opportunities, and lots of love and security. It's like reliving my childhood. I have no idea who my birth parents are, and it doesn't matter to me, but somewhere there was a woman with a closef full of yarn, lots of creative ideas, and a hole in her heart wondering if I had a good life. I did. I'm glad Amelia's birth parents know she is loved absolutely by you and your husband. Happy Thanksgiving. You have so much to be thankful for.

Thank you! I just received my kit today. I love it and plan on gifting it to my mil but I really want to keep it so we shall see...Thank you for all of your hard work, creativity, and love of the handmade kind.

When I tried to order I found out it was all sold out. I just ordered an ABC kit instead a couple of days ago. I will try to order the Joy one ! It's beautiful ! I hope my eyes will behave well with the tiny embroidery. Thank you for all you do and wish you a lovely Thanksgiving! We are with family in Iowa and enjoying it every minute! Hugs!

Oh, a lantern walk! How poignant ours was this year. Many congratulations on your good sales!

That was truly deserved! I'm excited to receive and succeed in doing mine!

Happy Thanksgiving and thank YOU.
I cannot tell you how often your photos..especially those of Amelia.
Watching her grow up..watching her hair and legs grow..her little expressions changing..her outfits:) Her puts a smile on my face.
I think it is being reminded of my girls 40 years ago.
And your stellar pics .
Every year for the past 5 I girls have opened a set of your ornaments under the tree and have told me that they are their faves..:) A few friends have received some also.
And that's because of you.

Oh goodness I have been holding out on starting a new hobby for so long but I can resist no longer. I've ordered! Happy days :)

Happy Thanksgiving to you & your family. May you enjoy every minute of the day, including the preparation for the dinner. My daughter & I treasure the very act of cooking and preparing the meal and that is a large part of our celebration. I know you feel that way also and your little girl will treasure that as she grows up.
I am so happy that I got the kits. Eager to see them & work this winter.
You are an inspiration to me. Have enjoyed your blog since the beginning.
Enjoy all the holidays and the winter months of needlework.
Fondly, Ruby

Thanks Alicia - I was able to snag a kit, after the 1st sell-out. Can't wait to receive it. I'm more of a knitter, but has done X-stitch in the past and this yr's pattern just caught my heart (I love cardinals). <3

I loved those Martinmas pictures so much--how you captured the inner and outer magic of carrying lights into the deepening darkness. I am very happy to think of your family having this experience that I too have loved over the past 25 years, as a parent and a teacher. Some years--this one--we really need to experience this beautiful reminder of how much our deeds matter, small and large.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family, and congrats on the success of your cross stitch kits. If I ever decide to add cross stitch to my personal handwork activities, I hope you'll still be making and selling these things! For now, I am feverishly knitting away on holiday socks for family--all grown ups means lots of big socks and lots of stitches! Maybe in a few years I'll have a grandchild or two and get to do small socks again.

Darn! I missed it again. I first spotted this sampler on your IG acct. I love it. Perhaps next time.

I am thankful for you and your family. Through the lens of your camera I see the bountiful life we all have. I have finished my little Christmas quilt so I will have the pleasure of stitching my sampler during this magical time of the year. Thank you for being you.

Ack I ran over to the shop as soon as i got the email but it says sold out :( :(
