Worried Pets

Audreyviolet This is a picture for Andy. Honey, this is a picture of how the pets look when you're gone. 2/3 of them have turned into little old men, anxiously staring out windows, awaiting your return. 1/3 of them (not pictured -- as you said, taking a pic of Bridget is like taking a picture of a fairy) are completely oblivious; in fact, I did see her flutter by this morning so I know she's still here, but I don't think she's pining for you, somehow. Big surprise. Violet (cat) actually hasn't much left this spot (though we've run out of her little foil bags of food and it's freezing here, so I am too lazy to go to the store -- she's eating dry Iams until it warms up), and Audrey (dog) refuses to sleep upstairs. This is also for anyone who might have been wondering why I'm not allowed to have nice pillows. As if that weren't extremely obvious. Good thing she's so damn cute.

We miss you, hon!!! We really miss you!!!

We have the same cat. And, this is why I don't have a nice living room couch. It actually belongs to the dog...we just borrow it periodically.

We have the same problem with our back cushions on the family room couch, not from pets, but from kids (our pets have passed away, sadly). All smooshed from the kids sitting on top of them. Endearing.

I love proper names for pets, by the way. Our cats were Sebastian and Christopher. I had a friend who once had cat he called "The Commodore", I loved that.

but they are too cute looking at the same time at the camera :)

At least they look very happy ruining pillows and cushions!

Audrey: cheer up, corgi.
Violet: wakey wakey!
Bridget: was that you outside of The Metro on Clark Street at about 2 last night?
Alicia: I miss you so much.

ah shucks
I love this photo & the little story.

Oh, such lonesome pets.....and a pretty lonesome guy here, I might add. He's making us wear funny clothes and hats and wigs and say goofy lines...am I tattling? He's a sight for sore eyes here in Illinois, bringing a smile to every face, young and old, who sees him. We miss you, dear one. I have to go to bed now...curtain call is very early I fear!
