Uh oh. I sense another crochet freak-out coming on. I hooked up one little blossom in a few minutes the other night just for fun and now . . . now look. A creeper.
I don't have time for the Siren call of cashmerino and baby alpaca right now. Must. Walk. Away. Run. Though it's really tempting to succumb, especially as it is cold, dreary, dark, and rainy outside.
Details to come, I promise.
Oooh those colours have got me!
I have used this puff stitch on many afghans. It's so pretty.
Gorgeous! Can't wait to hear more.
It's lovely, whatever it turns out to be
oooooooooh. Darling!
I just have to tell you that of all the blogs I read, this one just sets the twee and squee part of my heart to pitter pattering.
Thanks, really love your work.
Cynthia
Usually granny squares do nothing for me...
...but these are delicious.
Oh, I want to be doing this right now.
Run Alicia! Run!
Oh dear! I love, love, love the crochet. Colors, pattern... Must. Not. Do. It. Now.
How absolutely beautiful. The colors are so warm and cozy. "A creeper"...that's funny.
I have never liked crocheted granny squares until this very second. Brava!
Oh, very inspriring. Makes me want to learn how to crochet. EEEKK, another obsession....
How could you run from something so lovely?!
Oh, Alicia, I'm so sorry, but I think this is absolutely gorgeous!! Continue!!! Yippee!!
ah: as a tall grey-haired grannie, I first thought this was a slam on all us *wise* elders of the fiber clan, so how refreshing to see the true grey granny squares that are marvelous. Happiest of holiday seasons to you--love your insight & vision.
Arrghh. Between you and Lucy (Attic24) I will never again be able to finish a project because you keep inspiring me to start new ones. Not that I want you to stop. My empty wallet and my dirty house and my tired-of-frozen-chicken-fingers daughter want you to stop. But why should they dictate how I spend my days? OK so maybe Abigail should have some say so in the matter, but she's just too young to understand obsession and compulsion yet...she'll figure it out :-)
I have some grannies, I am working on - I have a question: what is the best way to stitch them together? Do you have a favorite method?
gorgeous! I was just thinking about gray granny squares and how I love them...love the color combo you've got going. I had just favorited this photo http://www.flickr.com/photos/woodwoolstool/4187847001/
I feel very inspired!
OH MY! Aren't they pretty! Well, all I can say is that I would have a very difficult time pulling myself away also. Just a few more days. . . I may have to beef up my crocheting skills! I've always loved granny squares. Martha had some beautiful ones a few years ago in her magazine. Saved them, will save yours.
I need that granny square pattern! Gorgeous!
Two of my favorite things: the color "gray", and "grannies" (since I am a Grandma now!). Love your work Alicia! It's beautiful...:)
Hi, thanks for making me smile today...I have ALWAYS wanted to learn hoe to make that pattern...any info on the directions or details...you are awe so inspiring.
