A Little House Tour

My sweet sissy did a little house tour and interview with Andy and me the other day for a home design web site she is working with called Houzz. I loved the questions (and I love Andy's answers) and I love the the pictures she took. She tape recorded the interview we did and said our voices (hers and mine) sounded so similar that it was like listening to one person talking and laughing — and not either of us, but our other sister, Susie. Hah! I busted out laughing when she said that. Awesome. Anyway, always so much fun working on stuff together. Click on the link in her post to get to the tour. Thank you, Julie! xoxoxoxoxo

I commented over on your sister's blog about the tour and interview, so I won't repeat here, but just to say~so fantastic every bit of it.

How beautiful - both the house and you two! I got teary-eyed at the end of the interview. You two have such a sweet relationship. Love the photo!

1. Love your home, of course.
2. Definitely Shawn and Gus.

I'm afraid you're going to have to start an "I <3 Andy" fan club. I'm still laughing.

Thanks so much for sharing your home. You have a lovely stairwell. I especially like the groups of pictures you have on your walls. For some reason I'm always a little too nervous to put things up that way but I think I should just dive in - our friends and family deserve to be on our walls!

To me, the Paulson House is as much of a living entity as Edgewood in Little, Big. Less mysterious, maybe, but just as much of a presence. What a dream you've built.

Such a lovely whimsical home, love your paint colors. We will start painting soon and I may borrow some of these ideas :) Wish the tour had also included a pic of the outside of your home. Oh and I also would def want to have Zooey Deschanel over if I could ;)

That was amazing! Julie did such a wonderful job of showcasing your house and the "home" that you and Andy have created. My favourite part of the interview, when asked what part of the house is your favorite, Andy says, "Actually, I like anywhere Alicia is." Home is definitely where your heart is :)

Oh, Alicia! What a LOVELY place! Reminds me of my home in the States before we pulled up stakes and reimmigrated to my home-country of Sweden. Thankyou for sharing!

Your sister's tour was great! Your home is amazing - I could never pull off grey walls and make is feels so warm! Your hints of red are like jewels spread throughout the house. I also adored the Russian Matryoshka dolls! I recently painted my own. :)

I love that you haven't let your things overpower your house. It's cozy & serene. Love it.

I love the part where you talk about dinner with Gena Rowlands......such an interesting choice. When did you become intrigued by her?....Her son Nick was my boyfriend for three years 30+ uears ago. Love Gena...went to the Academy Awards with her in 1981...President Reagan was shot that day...so the awards were postponed til the next day. Still have so many gifts she gave me....memories of Gena.

Your home is truly lovely: thanks for sharing ... and it's also nice to see you on the other side of the camera too

What a great interview and tour. I loved seeing the pics, you have a very inspiring home and taste in decor. Blessings Niki x

I love your house - thanks for sharing! I'm also inspired by Carl Larson and love the way you've softened the sometimes cold Scandinavian look with your quilts, embroidery, etc. Such a sweet interview, too.

Good work, Julie!

Oh, Alicia and Andy--
your home is such an inspiration to me.
I just love how welcoming it looks!

Whats up are using Wordpress for your site platform? I'm new to the blog world but I'm trying to get started and set up my own. Do you need any html coding knowledge to make your own blog? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
