Happy birthday, Andy Paulson! We are the same age-isn't it great? I still feel 26. How about you?

What a wonderful birthday - fantastic cake and a corgi on a quilt too! Happy Birthday - enjoy the rest of the day.

What beautiful pictures Alicia! That cake looks so yummy! Indeed what a beautiful afternoon you must have had. Happy Birthday Andy! You are such a beautiful couple. I love the picture of Miss Clover Meadow posing behind the branch.

What a wonderful way to spend a birthday! We just returned from a family reunion in Kansas - we drove through Idaho, Wyoming, Nebraska, Kansas, Colorado and Utah. And then home! Home to Oregon and green and mountains and streams! I'm ready to drive up the mountain a ways and find a quiet spot to rest for awhile. Thank you for sharing your woodland trek with us. It just made me realize - all over again - what I love about living in this area!

My dream birthday . . . cake AND a walk in the woods! Thanks for posting "dreams in reality". Happy new year, Andy. May all your dreams come true.

You and Andy are my favorite people for finding the beauty in the simple abundance of life. I'm working on figuring out the life I want to create for myself after a stressful year - you guys are constant inspiration. Best Birthday Wishes!

Oh Alicia, your photographs are so beautiful and evocative. They make me want to move to your part of this big world! And the cake...fairies would steal this if not for your faithful friend!

Your photos are beautiful! Seeing them makes me long to walk through the woods. Great job on the cake. I'm sure it tasted as good as it looks!

You are so lucky to live in such a beautiful place.

Happy B-day Mr. P!

A belated Happy Birthday, and I love those pictures (like all your pictures). One could almost touch one and be there!

That park looks beautiful and I'm amazed at how well trained your dog is off leash. My dog would be long gone chasing forest creatures. Hope your birthday was full of joy!

I often feel that I want to step inside your photographs. I'd like to instantly transport myself from my computer to the forest.

Wow you do live in Gods country,,,so beautiful and you take just as beautiful pictures..and yes please share the strawberry cake recipe..

Is that the Dark Chocolate Cake with Cloud Burst Frosting?!?!?!?! I LOVE that cake!! Everything looks like it was another delightful outing for you three. :D Happy Birthday to Andy!!!!

I'm so glad there wasn't a cake-slide fiasco this year! Looks like a lovely day. Happy Birthday Andy!

Gorgeous pics - and love the cake! :-)

I forget every year that Andy and I have the same birthday. This year we had almost the same celebration, too -- I went with the one I love out to the gorge, ate cake (strawberry shortcake) at the top of the trail, had a picnic. Happy birthday, Andy!

Haha! How in heaven did you get that cake out there all in one piece? Lovely!

My birthday was Saturday during the storm and we were having dinner with friends at "Kin" and it was so wonderful! I love having a late spring birthday and having strawberries as a part of my birthday treat! Mine was strawberry rhubarb pie and vanilla ice cream.Happy birthday fellow Gemini!

Sending a Happy Birthday from Pennsylvania! Looks like a perfect way to celebrate!

Great photos of what looks like a really, really great day. Love the pictures of birthday guy and his dog, boots, in the stream, the cake perched on a mossy rock, strawberries . . . dreamy time!

I just want to crawl into your photos and stay there.

Beautiful photos and cake!! Happy Birthday to Andy!

That looks like a perfect birthday.
