August has a glow. There was twilight birdsong all around us in the field. I cried in the sunset. My sister's visit has been wonderful. The world spins and spins. The flowers. The nights. The years.

Oh, your photos look like approaching autumn! Which reminds me of how fast this summer is passing....
Thank you as always for sharing your delicious life with us.

All your pictures have that feeling of the last month of summer about them - without even having to say anything you can just tell.
Glad you got to spend a lovely visit with your sister.

The last photo is so warm and intimate.
I feel like this one's extra special as most of your photos don't include faces - rightfully so, we don't need to know ALL of your business. :)
Looks like you had a wonderful time and beautiful weather. So lucky.

The last days of summer... Or so it feels here in Sweden at least, I can smell fall in the evening air.

Lovely pics!

This is a most beautiful photo essay. Just now, the heat/light/humidity has changed in GA. It is not yet cool, not yet fall, but now one can envision the possibility.

I want to make a berry clafoutis now. Also a quilt in shades of lavender. Thanks for the inspiration.

Blackberry cake, please sharesies!

Beautiful, beautiful beautiful photos, with a side dish of lovely. :)

What a beautiful cake! And...as always...lots of beautiful pictures that make me feel good when I look at them. :-)

Bless your heart this was such a lovely post. I think August has a sound. I know it does. I hear fall approaching...it sounds like night, in the day time. Weird, but true. You captured the feel of August....Well done you.

these photos lit me up, just this moment. I cried in the sunrise. August is emotional. ; )

Oh Clover.....xo

I can feel the sweetness of your days and nights through your beautiful photos! I, too, baked a chocolate cake yesterday. I was in the mood and figured, today is a day for chocolate cake just because. ;) I used the recipe on the back of the Swan's Down cake flour box. It is a winner!

so beautiful. what precious moments to savor!

I can only dream of baking such gorgeous looking cakes! Perfect!

That is a GORGEOUS cake topper!

love this and love you. enjoy your day, alicia.

I cannot get enough of your pictures..they are all so inviting and beautiful..thanks for sharing your world with us,,

I love everything about these photos. 23 more days until I get to experience Oregon beauty for myself! I can't wait!

This makes me think a little bit of the bittersweetness of high summer as fall approaches ...also of my sweet baby dog who blessed me so much. And of my secret blackberry patch that I am going to raid Right Now!

Let us see a picture of you IN the dress - it looks so pretty! Hope you're having a great summer...

We are ready for fall :)

it looks like you had such a brilliant time!

Oh god that is gorgeous! Am very envious of your Oregon August. We have had lovely weather here in the UK westcountry, but can't recall it being warm enough to sit out in the dark! Thankfully my husband also wants to visit Oregon so when money permits we'll be visiting.
Nothing so special as sharing time with family. Thank you for sharing that moment with us too!
