Egads, *THANK YOU* for all of the book suggestions! Thank you thank you. That is seriously exciting. I have read a lot of the ones that you suggested (you know me well!), but there were a ton of them I have never heard of that sound awesome. This is thrilling! Thank you!

Were fighting colds here. Blaaaaaah. I've lost my voice and am speaking in whispercroak. Lots of hot tea, hot and sour take-out soup, more blueberry streusel muffins, a hot bath for me. I'm really enjoying these muffins in the morning, I must say. I think this muffinmaking will be my "thing." Like how some people are good at sports and some people are funny and some people have great hair? I'm going to always have muffins in the house. Yeah.

Construction on the window seat is almost finished. It is gorgeous but I won't deny that it's been a loooooong couple of weeks with people coming and going and saws whirring and things banging and the front door opening and closing and people clomping up and down stairs and the dear, poor puppers patrolling (and barking) throughout the day. Doors and drawers go on and in on Monday and then, hallelujah, some quiet. Yes, please. Ready. Then I can obsess about the pillow for the window seat, and the wallpaper (some more).

Miss Amelia P. takes it all in stride and wakes up every morning with the biggest, brightest, most beautiful smile you can imagine. Always happy. Made of sunshine, this girl. Dearest darling! Lights my world. Xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo

Oh, lovely, lovely built-ins for your sweetie-pie. She will have such a great time curled up in the window seat.

Your home so so lovely and so CLEAN in so many ways. It's reminding me to go and clean up my own. Happy weekend and muffin making to you and yours!

The shelves are beautiful! Little Miss Amelia P. is absolutely precious ~ so happy for you and Andy and thank you for sharing her and your life with all of us! :)

Oh, oh, pretty hair bow. Oh, sweetest!

Yes, homemade muffins! I am bereft without muffins in the house.

I never ever tire of the Clover-in-rumpled-covers photos... Love!

every one of your pics makes me want to visit your home!. all so warm and inviting. window seat is looking a treat and those muffins! and those sweet cheeks! bliss x

I have to tell you, I smile at every single picture of Amelia. She's such a little darling.

Oh my gosh-- I need hot and sour soup when I'm feeling lousy, too! I swear, it helps. Hoping everyone on the mend there. I laughed out loud when you described the puppers barking at all of the construction dudes. Get out people! I need a nap :)

Love seeing Amelia. She looks so happy and sweet. Loving the mug and does it have a lid?! Where did you get it from? love your blueberry muffin pics. I'm in a muffin-making phase too funnily enough. Snowed in with my children and made them some blueberry muffins for breakfast yesterday. Love your built-ins. love your posts. Love love love all you need is love :-)

Oh, how I do love crisp white built-in's - I've slowly filled my house with them. Hooray for Amelia and her big girl bow and room!

I also love that window film - I'm getting ready to do this in a second floor bathroom, but now I want that film. Please share the source if you would.

The cabinets are coming along lovely! Hope you all feel better soon ♥

Hot-sour soup??

The flu bug is going around here too. In fact, we are on round 2 of it. School closed early today and will closed on Monday AND Tuesday as well.

PS...I like the pics of your dog, and ALWAYS your pics. Your house looks soooooo cozy.

Have a JOYful weekend!!

I am definitely making muffins tomorrow. I love Amelia's hair! I'm still reviewing the summer reading list and can't wait to look at all of the books that people have recommended in response to your last post. I couldn't think of anything to add to the discussion but if you ever update the summer reading list - I have some ideas! I hope you enjoy Through the Kitchen Window as much as I do. Bx xxx

Lovely photos & subjects & I'm now craving muffins! Do you mind sharing the color on the walls with the built-ins?

It has been such a joy to see pictures of the baby growing up- take you for sharing them- I always give my youngest (3 1/2) a big smooch after I see your photos because it reminds me that 'Tempus Fugit.'

I'm late to the book list, but Mr. Penumbra's 24-Hour Book Store is great, and it is a quick read. I found it on someone else's "must read" list and now am recommending it to everyone. Lots of satisfied friends so far.

Muffins may be your "thing," but you
will have to add it to a long, inspiring
list of "things." Woman, you have the sweet skills.
Two weeks of noise and disruption = so worth it!
The shelves are looking gorgeous, and I know it will only
get better (see aforementioned "sweet skills").
I do not envy those colds, but everything else in this post
looks delicious, cozy, and good. You've sparked all
kinds of cravings in me! Happy weekending, P Family.

An addition to the book list - The Making of A Marchioness by Frances Hodgson Burnett. It's a Persephone but you can get the Persephone Classics edition at Powell's. And I don't know how you get anything done with that sweet baby in the house. I'd be spending all my time squeezing her and loving on her.

The shelving??! GORGEOUS! How exciting when it'll be all finished---so happy for you!

Blackberry honey is that? Oh. Sounds most intriguing. I was looking at an array of honeys this week and do think now, I must buy something more interesting than the usual clover (No offense, Miss Clover Meadow. You are not "usual".).

Please feel better very soon.
