Best New Year's gift ever: We woke up to snow early on Sunday morning, and Andy had the whole day off! Nothing can compare to this, for me. I dream of it. To watch our daughter playing in the snow in her own yard, on her own street, and in her own park is just beyond-words wonderful. It was so much fun. It was just one day, but oh, it was the best day. I'll never forget it.
***Yep, she's a sled dog. :)
Could your girl be any sweeter?? She's like a little impish fairy with those red cheeks and fur lined hood! Where did you find that darling push toboggan?? It looks in too good of shape to be vintage!
Beautiful! Wonderful! Thank you!
What fabulous images of the fun you all had in the snow! You actually had more than out here in Corbett if you can believe that. Love Mimi's hats.. the one you knitted and the fun one with the elfish peak and fur-lined.. you really do find the most fun things for her. The sled.. what a dreamy wooden sled! Have fun.. hopefully we'll have another, deeper snow before winter goes away and the snowdrops bloom. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
Happy New Year to you all - wonderful photos that capture the magic of the season.
It's important to wear your dog's collar while out in the world. That way people know who you belong to. :) That made me laugh; my kiddo used to do the exact same thing at that age.
How lovely! We are still waiting our east coast snow. It seems to be a little slow to get going this year ;) We've been spoiled by warmth, but today, oh today, the ground crunched beneath my feet! It was certainly winter!
Okay, Amelia is breaking the internets with her cuteness and happiness today! It's just over the top! Sooooo jealous of the snow play! (Not so jealous of the ice.)
What a fun day. Thank you for always sharing the simple pleasures of your life with us.
Aw! How fun to have snow! Adorable! That tiny sweater is precious.
Poor dad. Doing all the hard work AND losing his gloves to his darling little.
Love the dog dollar! Reminds me so much for my little girls (who aren't so little anymore). Enjoy!!
SO MUCH JOY!!! Thanks for sharing. I'm glad you got to enjoy it.
So happy for your perfect snow day! (and a bit jealous as we've not had a good snow yet) The joy on Amelia's face is contagious.
You make me miss Oregon-- we usually visit my sister's family in the winter, but this year we went in the summer (hello, heatwave. Ugh.). And also, what a cutie she is. You guys look so happy. :)
You need to visit me here in Spokane. Mimi would love all of the snow we have. I wanted to tell you I have that same book. Letter to Honeyhill. It's great!
Blessings,
Betsy
Pictures of delight.
So happy for your wonderland.
All the photos are gorgeous but #23 specifically really stands out. What a gorgeous picture of your baby girl enjoying the snow. Wonderful! Thank you for sharing her with us. :)
Pictures that show pure happiness and delight. Just wonderful!
Oh that looks like SO much fun, how wonderful. Lovely to see the community garden in winter as well, I always like to see your photos of it. CJ xx
What darling and cozy photos. You're really great at capturing the moments. My favorite are the first few bed photos. Lovely to see such a wonderful, joyful family. xx
Oh what a glorious start to the new year - a properly picture perfect day :)
Look at you guy's!!! So happy that this year YOU have the snow and here in Toledo, Ohio it is green and brown. Happy for you!
This made me smile so so much.
Oh, it was a wonderful day. I grew up in snow country and cry sometimes when I realize my children won't know the winter fun I had growing up. But when it snows here, and they get a little bit of what I had, I rejoice. It was beautiful. I love your pictures - especially the one with her nose scrunched up and eyes closed. So cute!!
*happy new year* i love the expression in snow day 22. i also love how active everyone seems to be there. beautiful pictures, as always. thank you. (we still have a lot of snow here in omaha.)
